MedAire offer a range of virtual and in-person courses, helping crewmembers to certify and recertify to meet regulatory compliance.
Management of In-Flight Illness and Injury (MIII) - eInitial
- MedAire's virtual initial course trains crewmembers to respond to medical emergencies onboard.
- Delivered live by experienced instructors via an interactive virtual platform,
- 8-hour course (plus up to 4 hours of pre-work/eLearning) includes American Heart Association CPR and AED certification.
- Students receive a MedAire Training Pack with a personal CPR manikin, CPR wrist monitor, and personal protective equipment to ensure hands-on training even in a remote setting.
- Earns ½ NBAA CAM Credit.
Management of In-Flight Illness and Injury (MIII) - eRecurrent
- A 4-hour virtual refresher course (plus up to 4 hours of pre-work/eLearning) for crewmembers who have previously completed MIII initial training.
- This course reinforces life-saving techniques in the cabin environment and maintains CPR/AED certification.
- Students receive a MedAire Training Pack and engage in fully interactive, instructor-led sessions.
- Earns ¼ NBAA CAM Credit.
Management of In-Flight Illness and Injury (MIII) - Recurrent
- In-person half-day to full-day refresher course for crewmembers seeking to maintain their MIII certification.
- Covers victim assessment, CPR, AED operation, trauma management, and aviation-specific emergency response techniques.
- Available at FlightSafety locations, FBOs, or on-site at your facility.
- Earns ¼ NBAA CAM Credit.
DAK Training (Optional Add-On)
- A 1-hour training module designed for crewmembers to learn to operate MedAire's Digital Assessment Kit (DAK).
- The course covers six modules including how to use the MedAire Aviation App on the iPad provided in the DAK, practice three medical scenarios (Low Blood Sugar, Shortness of Breath, and Seizures), proper maintenance of the DAK, and how to resupply and refurbish after use.
- An optional 30-minute hands-on practice scenario with the ECG and Glucometer can be added.
