Digitek Medications Recalled

On May 8, 2008, MAS, a Service of MedAire, received this important Class I recall notification regarding the Digitek® (digoxin tablets, USP) medications, which are used to treat heart failure and abnormal heart rhythms. Known in the MAS formulary as #2101 and 2101-U10, respectively, these medications are included on the MAS Transocean List and can be sold as part of the Transocean Medical Inventory Control System or as a single line item for medical locker inventories. Included in the recall notification from our distributor were the product descriptions and national drug code (NDC) numbers of the recalled medications. The recall requests that each consumer review their inventory of this item to confirm its identity and then take the necessary steps to remove and replace the medication. If you have one of the recalled medications with the specific NDC numbers as attached, please notify Leonard Muhammad, MAS account manager, for instructions regarding return and replacement. Or, for more information, please review these PDFs as well as the manufacturer’s press release.
