About the product recall
U.S.-based medical supply manufacturers Triad Group and Cardinal Health are recalling the Cardinal Health-branded Alcohol Prep Pad contained within a sterile Instrument Tray, which islocatedinside specific kits distributed by MedAire’s U.S. facility between Jan. 1, 2008, and Jan. 31, 2011.
These sterile instrument trays—used to treat wounds—are distributed by MedAire as separate line items or in the following MedAire medical kits:

Please be advised:
- If you have one of the above mentioned kits, please keep it/them on your vessel or aircraft and await further instructions from MedAire.
- MedAire will contact all affected clients via email and mail.
- Do not use the recalled Alcohol Prep Pad. Should you need to treat a wound while traveling, please contact MedAire’s 24/7 MedLink Global Response Center and a doctor will make other recommendations.
- Unless directed by MedLink, refrain from opening the Instrument Tray inside your kit which contains the Alcohol Prep Pad, as well as safe and sterile wound management tools.
